PUTTING PLANTS ON THE PLATE: BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE FOOD SYSTEM FOR NYC THROUGH PLANT-POWERED FOOD

Tuesday, June 4th | 12:30-1:30pm | Presented by NYC Mayor's Office of Food Policy

Join the NYC Mayor's Office for a discussion on how foodservice companies can lead the charge on decarbonizing the city's food system through delicious and climate-friendly plant-powered food. Diners are increasingly seeking out meals that don't just taste good, but also have a positive social impact, and what goes on our plates makes a big impact on the global food system. The Plant-Powered Carbon Challenge, a new leadership initiative from the Mayor's Office, brings together national and NYC businesses who are setting the standard for sustainable foodservice through plant-forward menus. Challenge participants receive complimentary services in carbon emissions measurement and tracking, menu auditing, and program implementation from nonprofit partner Greener by Default.
