Miguel Leal is a Mexican-American food industry veteran who is currently Co-Founder and CEO of SOMOS Foods. He previously helped accelerate growth at KIND Snacks and Cholula Hot Sauce, where he served as Executive Vice President Marketing and CMO respectively. Miguel was previously at Danone and Diamond Foods working on the Kettle brand. His food career began at PepsiCo's Frito-Lay managing the Lay's potato chip category. Miguel moved to the United States to receive his MBA from The Wharton School at UPenn. Born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, Miguel's favorite Mexican meal is home-cooked picadillo with rice and beans.

Lorena Tapiero is a first-generation Colombian-American with global experience in New York City, Los Angeles, and Dubai. A seasoned media professional and contributor to LA Yoga Magazine, Lorena brings a unique perspective to public relations, marketing, and TV production. She has advised both established and emerging brands, with proven success across various media verticals and platforms. Lorena’s career spans from sports and entertainment media roles at CBS, NBC, and ESPN to consulting within Dubai’s luxury hospitality and event industry and leading U.S. communications for Seedlip, the global leader in non-alcoholic spirits. Currently, she serves as a Committee Advisor for the Women in Leadership Certificate Program at CERTIFi by Mercy University.
