A Fancy New York Pitch Slam!



The first-ever Pitch Slam in New York for the natural and specialty products industry will take place from 4:00-5:30 p.m. on June 13 at the Javits Center (Hall D) during the Summer Fancy Food Show. Hosted by Naturally New York (NNY), in partnership with the Specialty Food Association (SFA), Pitch Slam provides a platform for entrepreneurs in the natural and specialty products industry to present their consumer packaged goods (CPG) product or service to a panel of industry judges and audience members for a chance to win prize packages with a total value of more than $75,000.



Pitch Slam Ticket Purchase includes:

2022 Summer Fancy Food Show (June 12-14)


Attending the Fancy Food Show is the most convenient and cost-effective way to meet specialty food makers representing all specialty food/beverage categories. Show is not open to the general public - only qualified buyers and industry professionals (aged 18 and older) may attend. Registration advanced pricing is available through May 8, 2022.     Heather K. Terry is the Co-founder & CEO of GoodSam PBC. She has been a CPG mentor and angel investor, the author of From Broadway to Wall Street, a Partner and the Chief Strategy Officer of BeyondBrands (a top tier CPG consulting agency focused on natural products in NYC), and the host of the Scaling with Soul podcast (on hiatus).

    For over a decade, she’s been immersed in the complexities and nuances of the consumer-packaged goods vertical. First as the co-founder of NibMor Chocolate. Next, as the mastermind behind the expansion of popular clean beauty and wellness brands including S.W. Basics, Pulp Pantry, GoodSam, Organic Bath Company and more. She has been a highly-sought after advisor to many up-and-coming wellness products on a mission to land coveted spots on the shelves of national retailers like Whole Foods and Target.

    Her expertise has been featured at WELL Insiders, WELL Summit, ALT Summit, The Wild Rose Collective, the Rising Women Conference, Good Housekeepings Raise the Green Bar Summit and the Regenerative Rising Summit. She is a graduate of the International Culinary Center in NYC and has an MFA from Rutgers University.

    Alysia Reiner is best known as "FIG" on all 7 seasons of Orange Is the New Black, for which she won a SAG AWARD, and as of June 8th, you can find her on Disney + as Agent Sadie Deever in the much anticipated new Marvel series Ms. Marvel! Additionally, she just finished her 5th season as Sunny on Peabody Award-winning Better Things on F/X x HULU, as well as her first season playing Kathryn in STARZ’s Shining Vale with Courtney Cox and Greg Kinnear.

    She both starred in & produced the Sundance Film Festival feature film hit Equity & Tribeca Film Festival favorite Egg, which is 100% fresh on ROTTEN TOMATOES. A few other filmed adventures include getting married in the Oscar winning film Sideways, getting naked in an Emmy Award winning episode of Broad City, and going head to head against Viola Davis on How To Get Away with Murder, and she just starred in Stampede Ventures' feature film, Going Places, and wrapped The Independent with John Cena, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Brian Cox.

    She loves working as a change maker for women and an advocate for women's rights & climate change initiatives. She is on the board and an ambassador for GDIM, on the board of EARTH DAY INITIATIVE, on the advisory board for AIR PROTEIN, the face and zero waste eco-emissary for IZZY BEAUTY, and started eco-fashion zero waste initiative, Livari. As a champion of all things eco-friendly, she and her husband used their home as a way to share information about building green. Their brownstone eco-renovation in Harlem was featured on television's "World's Greenest Homes" and "Renovation Nation"; in various magazines like Dwell, Gotham, Origin and The Nest; and they allowed the environmentally friendly construction process to be chronicled on websites such as Dwell.com and Kohler.com. Alysia has been invited to speak and keynote at The White House, The United Nations, Google, Cannes Lion, Women's Media Summit, Collision, and countless film festivals and events about breaking barriers for women in all fields, specifically the entertainment industry.

    Prior to this, he worked with venture-backed technology companies, having served as the CFO of retail technology firm MarketMax, and co-founded an e-commerce technology company that served Fortune 500 retail and financial service companies. He began his career in the New York banking industry with JPMorgan Chase as a commercial lender to consumer businesses. He received his MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a BS in Chemical Engineering from NYU’s Polytechnic School of Engineering.
